Which sole do you need?
- Metal spikes: Maximum grip on natural grass wickets. Best for outdoor league cricket on turf or grass.
- Rubber studs: The all-rounders. Ideal for artificial turf, matting wickets and indoor cricket — which is what most of the Canadian season looks like outside the summer months. They also last longer on hard surfaces.
- Junior shoes: Lighter builds in smaller sizes so young players get proper support early.
Playing indoors this winter? Rubber studs are the right call for our Edmonton indoor facility surfaces — no metal spikes indoors. If you train both indoors and outdoors, many players keep one pair of each.
